European Week of Sport: X-ica Night Marathon gathers 450 participants

Over 450 people from 10 countries participated in the spectacular X-ica Night Marathon held this Saturday in Pula, Croatia, as part of the European Week of Sport.

The runners of all age took a 10 km night route by and around some of the Pula landmarks and attractions – temple of Augustus, Roman Forum, Dante Square, Lighting Giants (eight shipyard cranes turned into a giant light show!), ZeroStrasse tunnels and many others, with the grand finale in the impressive ancient Roman amphitheater right by the Adriatic sea.

Organized by Pula Sport, the event was supported by a number of local associations and institutions, including the city government, local police force, sports and tourist associations, Visualia Festival, Red Cross and many others, keen on promoting healthy lifestyle and local sports initiatives.

Infobip was proud to be the gold sponsor, and enable last minute SMS registrations for the race.

European Week of Sport is expected to gather almost 2 million participants in over 7 500 sports events in 27 European countries.
