What is a Fixed sender ID?

Fixed sender ID is a predetermined numeric sender identification that cannot be modified according to user needs and follows the standard MSISDN format.

The ITU Telecommunication Standardization Sector recommendations limit the maximum length of an MSISDN to 15 digits. 1-3 numbers are reserved for country codes with prefixes not included.

ITU Telecommunication Standardization Sector does not specify the minimum length of the MSISDN but is defined in the national numbering plans by the telecommunications regulator in each country.

How does Fixed sender ID work?

Fixed sender ID assigns a specific telephone number or sender ID to a business’s messaging platform. This number is associated with each sent message, allowing customers to identify the sender.

It is the mobile number displayed on the recipient’s cell phone along with the content of the message. This allows easier identification, increased engagement, and trust between businesses and customers.
