Wholesale report: A2P messaging on the rise

Infobip founder and CEO Silvio Kutic assessed trends and opportunities of the global A2P SMS messaging for the SMS Wholesale special report, issued by the telecoms- focused Capacity Magazine.

As he highlighted in his briefing with Capacity, Infobip’s geo-redundant technology has seen a rapid growth in A2P and P2A messages volumes it handles.

According to industry estimates, around 25 percent of all world’s SMS traffic will be A2P or P2A by the end of 2017.

Capacity Magazine is the leading source of information for the wholesale telecommunications market and carrier-to-carrier business. Their SMS Wholesale report covers the current perspectives of A2P business, explosive growth of the industry, and its potential to recover the declining P2P SMS revenues, as well as the MNO’s readiness to leverage the A2P SMS opportunity.

Issued a couple of days ago, the report includes opinions from the largest A2P SMS specialists, MNO groups and analysts – Gemalto, Vodafone, Orange, mBlox, Belgacom’s BICS, Juniper, Tata Communications and others.
