Infobip’s developer-focused tech conference Infobip Shift will once again return to one of Croatia’s most beautiful cities, Zadar, later this year. The event, which saw more than 5.500 developers visit in 2025, will once again provide the best insights into developer-focused topics you can find in this part of the world. Held between September 13 and 15, 2026., Infobip Shift <\/a>will see experts from nVidia and Apple present.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To find out more about the conference’s inner workings, we sat down with Stipe Cigi\u0107<\/strong>, the Director of the conference to discuss what makes Shift tick, and what makes it interesting to thousands of tech enthusiasts and developers each year. This year’s focus is on career growth in the tech industry, AI tools and development of top-notch technology platforms. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shift has always leaned\u00a0technical, but what does the program look like this year, and what topics are you most excited to put on stage?\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0
\u00a0
Program will revolve mostly around \u2013 surprise! \u2013 AI. But we are focused on what is really important to our developer audience, which means we will select talks that deal with real problems that real developers face. There is so much hype, so many buzzwords in the developer industry right now and we just want to cut through the noise and deliver a program that developers will appreciate. I am not a developer myself, I can\u2019t really single out a topic that I find interesting \u2013 because I am not the intended audience – but I am really proud of the lineup so far. We are bringing experts from companies such as Apple, Nvidia, Netflix, Adobe, AWS and I believe that what we put on stage will make a difference for our audience.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We should definitely point out that some of the higher-profile visitors this year come from some of the world’s most important companies. These include Igor Dmochowski<\/strong>, Head of Developer Relations for Eastern Europe at Nvidia, and Katie<\/strong> Gamanji<\/strong>, a Principal Engineer at Apple. They will be joined by Rob Zuber, CTO at CircleCI, as well as Sven Peters, Bette Lyon Delsordo and Nico Martin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Is there anything you\u2019re doing differently this year, as opposed to previous editions? Especially since the AI boom is much bigger in 2026 than in 2025?  <\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are much more focused on the selection of talks and topics, deliberately trying to avoid getting on the hype train. Don\u2019t get me wrong, everyone is welcome at Shift, and people from many different professional backgrounds can get something out of our event \u2013 but the program really won\u2019t be for non-developer builders. Proliferation of AI topics is huge, and we have a dedicated program advisor who helps us sift through the topics and find what we need which is to say, what we believe our audience needs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As I already said, we are bringing out real developers, team leaders and CTOs on stage. In previous years we had a lot of speakers that I call Influencer Speakers; yes, they are developers, but mostly they were recognizable voices in the industry with a lot of social media followers. And they were valuable speakers, great professionals who drew in the crowd. But I believe that the moment the industry is in right now simply requires us to focus on the \u2018real\u2019 because there is so much bullsh*t already everywhere.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For a developer who’s never been to Shift<\/strong>, what’s the one reason you’d tell them to make the trip to Zadar?<\/strong>  
 
The industry is shifting (heh) very fast, and all of these changes create confusion and insecurity. In this situation, direct interaction helps strengthen the community. Networkin matters probably more than ever before; building relationships in the real world will help you navigate through the ever-changing ecosystem. So get yourself to Zadar and chill\/talk\/co-work with colleagues and peers; it will help you grow and besides, you never know where a conversation at Shift might take you.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n
