Export/Import
Rather than creating chatbots from scratch, you can use the import and export functions to quickly extract a chatbot with all setup retained, and re-important as and when required, as many times as you need. This eliminates the need to have to re-create the same or similar chatbots across different accounts, reducing chatbot construction time.
An additional security feature to import/export is that all files are encrypted, meaning that the system will fail import if the locally stored file has been tampered with.
Exported chatbots will retain the following components:
Permissions
Any user can export a chatbot. To import a chatbot, you will need to have the Chatbot Editor or Chatbot Designer permissions.
You can export and import chatbots over all of your accounts as required whether you are on starter or enterprise plans.
Export
You are only able to export existing chatbots that have gone through validation, error-free. This is to prevent sporadic errors from occurring when attempting to import chatbots.
To export a chatbot go to Answers and use the actions toggle to export your chatbot. The system will automatically check if there are any conflicts in the selected chatbot before exporting.
If no errors occur, export is started automatically and is stored on your local device.
Import
To import a chatbot you will need to have successfully exported an existing chatbot from the Infobip platform. Exported files must not be tampered with and files fail in cases of decryption attempts. You also cannot import a chatbot for a channel which your plan does not support.
To export a chatbot go to Answers > Import Chatbot. When prompted, select the locally stored file and hit Import.
Define a new unique name for your chatbot, and select a sender in chatbot Settings.
Unsupported channels
You are only able to import chatbots that are using your supported channels. If you need to import a chatbot using a channel your plan does not support, you will need to have it enabled in your system first.
You cannot change the channel in use in an exported chatbot file. Attempting to modify any exported files will result in import failure.
