# Manage segments

Maintain your audience segmentation strategy by **editing**, **deleting**, and **duplicating** segments. To create new segments, see [Create a segment](https://www.infobip.com/docs/customer-profiles/segments/create-a-segment).

## Edit a segment

You can **edit** a segment only if it is **not used** in an active Journey. You must stop or complete the Journey before editing the segment.

To edit a segment:

1. Go to **Customer Profiles** → **Segments**.
2. Select the segment you want to edit.
3. Make the relevant changes.
4. Select **Save**.

## Delete a segment

You can **delete** a segment only if it is **not used** in an active Journey.

1. Go to **Customer Profiles** → **Segments**.
2. Delete the segment:
   1. To delete a **single segment**, select the three dots next to the segment and select **Delete**.
   2. To delete **multiple segments**, select the segments you want to delete and then select **Delete**.

Note
Deleting a segment does not delete the [person profiles](https://www.infobip.com/docs/customer-profiles/persons) in the segment. The profiles remain in Customer Profiles.

## Duplicate a segment

**Duplicating** a segment creates a copy that you can modify without affecting the original segment. This is useful when you want to create similar segments with minor variations.

To duplicate a segment:

1. Go to **Customer Profiles** → **Segments**.
2. Select the three dots next to the segment.
3. Select **Duplicate**.

A copy of the segment is created with the same rules as the original segment. You can edit the duplicate segment independently.
