You can create tags from the **Tags page** or from a **[person profile](https://www.infobip.com/docs/customer-profiles/persons)**.

## Create from Tags page
To create a tag without assigning it to a profile:

1. Go to **[Customer Profiles](https://www.infobip.com/docs/customer-profiles)** → **Tags**.
2. Select **Create tag**.
3. Enter the tag name.
4. Select **Create**.

The tag is created and appears in the [tags list](https://www.infobip.com/docs/customer-profiles/tags/tags-list). You can now assign it to profiles.

## Create from person profile
To create a tag and assign it to a specific [person profile](https://www.infobip.com/docs/customer-profiles/persons):

1. Go to **[Customer Profiles](https://www.infobip.com/docs/customer-profiles)** → **[Persons](https://www.infobip.com/docs/customer-profiles/persons)**.
2. Open the profile for which you want to create and add a tag.
3. In the **Attributes, tags, and events** tab, select **+ Add tag** in the **Assigned tags** section.
4. Select **Create new tag**.
5. Enter the tag name and select the check mark.
6. In the confirmation window, select **Create**.

The tag is created and assigned to the person profile. The tag also appears on the Tags page.
