Send Important Email That Gets Opened
In these extraordinary times, businesses need to act even faster to be able to keep going or to meet increasing expectations.
Let`s say you are a pet food chain and, all of a sudden, there is a significant surge in demand. This forces you to look for more people who are willing to go out and deliver the food and other necessities for pets who are equally constrained in their daily lives as people are.
But how do you find more delivery personnel in just a few days? You could send messages to people who already applied for a position with your company. For the sake of efficiency, test your communication to see if the recipients will read your messages.
This use case will show how to set up A/B testing in Flow to discover which email subject line works best for your efforts.
IMPLEMENTATION STEPS
Before you start creating the communication flow, navigate to the Import People feature in the People module to upload contacts to whom you want to send the email messages.
Steps Over Web Interface
1. In the Communicate module on the Infobip web interface select CREATE FLOW > Start from Scratch > Predefined Audience.
2. Click the Predefined audience to select Split audience element, and divide your audience into three segments. The first two audience branches of 20% each will be used to test the messages, and the third one that includes 60% of the audience will later on receive the version that fares best.
3. Select email as your channel and test the first two (randomly split) audiences. Opt for simple and telling lines, such as We are hiring now! as people are more likely to check out clear messages. However, you should also try something like Help deliver crucial goods! because there might be those who don`t really need a job at this point but are looking to help in any way considering the circumstances.
4. Click the email element to select Evaluate Event and choose Any Link. This will get you the information on how many emails were opened and help you plan some later steps in your communication.
5. In the step below, you should create the notReceived tag so you can later send the winner content to the remaining 60% of your audience.
6. All set. Click VALIDATE and your test will be launched!
What happens next? You can hover over the Email elements to see results and create Broadcast with the winner subject line to send it to the rest of the audience: in the Communicate module select CREATE BROADCAST, change communication channel to Email, select the notReceived tag as the email receiver, and create content using your winning subject line.
