Notification Types
Push notifications are delivered in the form of in-browser onscreen boxes which users need to acknowledge to minimize. Notifications are automatically triggered when a user lands on a web page that has been set up with a notification.
Web push notifications are one-way communications, and users can only action the call-to-action button in the notification. However, you can set the destination URL to a space where users can submit information back to you.
When building web push notifications in the web interface, you can switch between browser views to see how they look in different browsers.
You can also switch between device views (desktop and mobile). Note however that push notifications are not available on mobile devices using Safari.
Simple Web Push Notification
Simple web push notifications consist of a title, a message, and a destination URL. Add images to your notifications to create rich push notifications.
Rich Web Push Notification
Rich web push notifications are the same as simple web push notifications, but also contain an image which appears in the notification. Use the upload option in the web interface when creating your push notifications to create a rich push notification.
