Who are we?
In short - 200,000 customers, over 1100 employees, 50 offices worldwide, 300+ different services on about 2,000 servers, 500 million SMS messages per day.
Infobip company was founded 12 years ago in Vodnjan, a small town in Istria, Croatia. Today it has above 1,200 employees in 56 offices around the world and 7 development centres (Pula, Zagreb, Rijeka, Sarajevo, Belgrade, St. Petersburg and Pune). Our core business can be explained in a few words – we’re developing a global platform for sending text messages.
Sarajevo office currently has about 105 employees, but we’re planning to add new members to all departments so we could achieve our ambitious goals.
Currently, we communicate with 60% of all mobile devices in the world, and our mission is that by the end of 2018 we touch every mobile device in the world. Do you want to be part of that story? Keep reading.
Why do we need you?
Our team in Sarajevo has 30 developers working on developing internal products. Since we’re one of the largest Infobip development centres, we want to take on even more projects – we run a stable job and grow year after year, so the development team needs to be expanded too.
What are you going to do?
Currently, in Sarajevo office we’re working on several independent projects that are part of the Infobip platform: Network Operations Centre, VoIP platform, Deployment Manager, USSD Platform, Customer Reporting, etc. As a software engineer, your role will be to develop one of these projects, but also to learn more about the other projects and teams. For all new members, there is a clearly defined onboarding process, to get to know the project and team as simply as possible.
Dino, Alisa, Imer, Emir, Denis, Almir and Sale cannot wait for you to join them and the members of their teams in developing the largest communication platform in the world.
Who should you be?
Ideally you should have 5+ years of experience in development, but that’s not mandatory. Technology you have been working in does not matter as long as you don’t have a problem with switching to Java. In addition, it would be great if you knew the basics of GIT, TSQL, Maven / Cities, Spring, NodeJS, and React / Angular2, in case you prefer web development. In our company, the real engineers and passionate lovers of new technologies are the ones who enjoy the most.
What do we offer in return?
We develop our own products, without any outsourcing projects, so we do not have the pressure of deadlines and customers, with the freedom to allocate our working time and tasks. We use Scrum methodology.

Within the development department, we have seven different levels and each team member can make progress that suits his/her ambitions – either into the roles of Team Lead or Division Lead, or the role of Software Architect.

Once a year we organize a huge company-level team building – called Connect – and gather the entire team of more than 1,000 people at a single place. The aim of this gathering is primarily to exchange knowledge, best practices and results of operations, and to gain insight into the vision and future direction of the company. Having fun and socializing is included, of course. In addition, we also have a separate team building for the Sarajevo office, and additional 3 team buildings per each team.
We organize the internal Dev Days conference every year, aimed at sharing knowledge and experience in using new and existing technologies.

How does our selection process look like?
The purpose of the first interview is mainly to share information – we would like to know more about you, but also give you the chance to ask everything you want to know about us. After the first interview, we then send you a task that can be done at home. This would help you see for yourself what it is that we’re working on at Infobip. After the task has been successfully completed and clean code written, there would be the second interview where you get to meet our colleagues from Croatia. And that is it. Short and simple.
