Amadria Park Resort and Conference Centre

This large resort features what is the biggest and most modern conference centre in Croatia. Two big, modular conference halls are supplemented by numerous smaller spaces totalling over 5000 msq., mostly centred around the conference centre and the adjacent hotel.

About Šibenik

Šibenik is a central Dalmatian city which has in recent times reinvented itself and has transitioned from an industrial hub to a rapidly-growing cultural, nautical and tourist hotspot, harnessing its traditions and favourable location, as well as natural beauty of its surroundings.

Rich history

Called the city of fortresses, its highlights are several well-preserved land and maritime fortresses, now transformed into cultural and event venues. The city itself bears traces of Venetian and Austrian rule over the centuries, reflecting the turbulent history of the region.

Despite that, is the only major city on the Croatian coast that doesn’t trace its beginnings to the Roman or Greek period. It was founded in the 11th century by Croatian king Krešimir, who held court there, and the city is sometimes referred to as the town of Krešimir.

Pristine nature

Šibenik is the gateway to two stunning national parks, the Krka river and the Kornati archipelago. In addition to its pristine nature, Krka river is also notable in the history of technology, with the first hydroelectric powerplant in Europe built in 1889 and still operating, making it one of the oldest in the world. It was put into operation a mere two days after the Niagara falls powerplant, and made Šibenik the first city in the world to have AC-powered street lighting.

The Kornati archipelago comprises over 140 islands, islets and reefs and is the densest archipelago in the Mediterranean. With no permanent settlements, the area was for centuries used for pasture and as a source for timber, and is today a preferred destination for sailing and adventure tourism.

Traditional delicacies

Along a wide variety of seafood, some of the delicacies of the region include the famed babić red wine variety, olive oil, sheep and goat cheeses and the famed dry-cured ham, pršut.

Main WAS#18
Party by Infobip

Date: Tuesday 17/10/2023

Time: 18:30 – 01:00

Location: St. Michael’s Fortress (Tvrđava sv. Mihovila), Šibenik

We are preparing a great party for all WAS#18 participants and Bippers in attendance! There will be amazing food, live entertainment and the venue is just breathtaking. This is a party you would not want to miss!

There will be organized transfers in place between the Amadria Convention Centre and the party venue starting from 18:15 o’clock. The service will be available in reverse until 01:00 o’clock.

Dress code:

Please note that the venue is on top of a hill, (it is a fortress after all 😊), and from the transfer drop off point, you will need to walk up some stairs for 200 metres. Make sure you wear comfortable shoes; it will help with the dancing as well 😉 You can thank us later.

For delegates with mobility problems, a minivan shuttle service will be available up to the venue entrance.

You are always welcome to dress to impress 😉 but many delegates will travel to the party right from the WAS#18 Convention centre so, business casual attire is more than ok! Remember, it is an open-air venue and it will be October, so bring a jacket with you just in case.
