A lot of candidates ask us about the kind of application we prefer… Come to think of it, even we as recruiters, wanted to know what to include in our resumes when we were applying for jobs ourselves! We want to help you screen your CV through a recruiter’s lens, show you how to prepare your application and land a job at Infobip.

Here are our top tips:

Tell us what makes YOU the best fit for the job, specifically.

Go through the job posting, check out what we need out of the role and tell us how you’ve done it, learned about it, or could teach it. Make sure to include all the best stuff on the first page of your resume.

We want to know what you’re proud of.

Whether it’s your work experience, time spent on education or taking part in competitions, how you approach your activities is what sets you apart. Bring to light your accomplishments and they’ll tell a far better story than your task list ever would.

Show us what your experience involved.

When describing your experience, make sure you don’t just tell us just the company name, position and period of employment; we want to know what you were doing specifically, and who you were working with (team size, where did you fit in the organizational structure). Keep it succinct and relevant to the position you’re applying for.

Show us how you’ve grown.

Advanced in your career? Good! We want to hear about the promotions, career progression and the best of what you’ve learned along the way.

Give us a glimpse into what you can do.

Let us check out your world – present your projects and accomplishments through your portfolio, various links, presentations or articles. It really helps us understand how you used your skills so far.

Take us through the journey, we’re all about humble beginnings.

Not all great careers have linear paths. After the most relevant career experience (which should appear on the first page), tell us what else you’ve done, even if it’s not directly related to the specific position you’re applying for.

How would your last boss talk about you? Tell us like they would.

While it is totally understandable that you want to show us the best possible version of yourself, we’d rather you be direct and present your experience objectively. If we call you for an interview, we will discuss the specifics in detail, so it’s important that we have all the relevant information available beforehand.

Make it easy to read.

Take a look at your CV from a distance. Is it formatted in a way that’s easy to read?

Now, move closer to the screen and proofread your resume. To be absolutely sure, have your friends or family read your resume and check it for mistakes or use some of the online spell check tools. There’s nothing worse than reading “excellent attentoin to detail”.

Tell us a bit about what makes you tick.

Show us what makes you smile, mention your hobbies and passions – because things you are passionate about make you… well, you.

That’s it! We care about your resume as much as you do, so take the time to show us what we need to see. Visit our Careers section and submit your CV today - good luck!
