In 2023, the Developer Relations Team at Infobip has been undeniably busy! Travelling the world to be part of amazing communities in 20 cities across 17 countries, working internally & externally with great partners to create the best possible value for our users, and bringing the amazing technology created at Infobip to the world.

And that effort has paid off. People see Infobip for the awesome mix of communication technologies we are and that we are good people.

In the world of Developer Relations, we don’t have any standards bodies or organisations that classify what the different components of work are. But we do have some events that are run around the world as a series. They are the DevRelCon events, and we are really lucky to have 4 out of 6 team members recognised by speaking at these events this year.

On top of that, DevRelCon London has a special event in the form of the DevRel Awards as a yearly celebration of the amazing work done by different teams in this niche industry. We are humbled to have been nominated and shortlisted for two categories this year.

The first category is “Best Regional DevRel Program” for the amazing “Infobip’s Developer Meetups in Africa” which we call Infobip Connect. A huge thank you has to go to Marijan Cipcic, who has been leading this effort, and you can read about the effort on our blog as it’s now going global in the US and EU as well as Africa. And if you want to attend one, we have 3 more in the next few weeks, including Amsterdam, Berlin, and London, just before DevRelCon.

We cannot convey how amazing it is to be nominated in the next category which is “Best DevRel Program Overall”. Yes, you read that right. We have been recognised by our peers as one of the best programs in our field. If we win or not, that’s a lot of stiff competition for amazing teams all over the world! And none of this could happen without each member of the team (Julia, Marijan, Joanna, Erick, Beatta, & Mike), as well as the cooperation working with the marketing team here at Infobip, the Start-up Tribe, and the developer Facing engineering teams!

It makes us extremely proud to see we are making a small difference in the DevRel world. We are constantly learning from the best in the field, and we are thankful to the wonderful DevRel community for being so open to sharing their knowledge and expertise with us, so we can learn and grow, and keep on sharing best practices.
