Target the App Users Based on the Items Viewed
To prevent churn—and make sure users return to apps and convert—create campaigns that target the users based on their in-app behavior could put the app on top of the end-user’s mind and increase the retention of the application. Use the remarketing flow to engage with app users who browsed but did not convert.
This tutorial shows you how to build a re-marketing Flow based on the items the app user viewed from the mobile app or added to wish list but didn't purchase.
Solutions to combine:
Before you start tracking events in this use case, you will need to visit Events to set up Mobile SDK. After you are all done with that initial step, proceed to create your Flow!
Steps over Web Interface
Log in to the Infobip web interface, navigate to the Target module, click the EVENTS tab.
Click NEW EVENT DEFINITION, name your event as “Item Viewed”. Click NEW EVENT PROPERTY to add two properties “itemName” and “itemCategory”. Both properties are text type. Definition ID will be generated automatically and can be adjusted if needed. You need to add this custom event into your mobile app for Infobip to be able to track when the app user opens any item within the app.
- Create "Item Purchased" even similar to the "Item Viewed" above. You need to add this event to your mobile app as well.
Go to the Communicate module > CREATE FLOW > Start from Scratch, select Trigger and click People Real-Time Event.
Configure the Wait for event section. Chose the Item Viewed event and set the following properties: happened at least 5 times within the last 3 days. For example, put “jeans” as itemCategory property and itemTitle starting with “levi”. Let's say the end user searched for Levi's jeans but didn't purchase them.
- Add the Send Push notification element based on the category and items viewed.
To make the notification more eye-catching, click Advanced options to add image URL.
Click VALIDATE and then LAUNCH NOW to send your message.
