Bots are unable to initiate communication with customers. Customers must first initiate communication for chatbots to be able to respond. This is considered an automatic opt-in for customers to receive messages back through Telegram.
Bots are able to see public names, usernames, and profile pictures, along with all messages sent to them from the end user. Bots are unable to access users’ last seen statuses and do not see end users’ phone numbers.
