Get Started with LINE
In this section, we cover how to create the LINE Official Account and use it with the Messaging API.
To start messaging customers on LINE, you have to create a LINE Official Account or connect an existing one. If you don’t have an official account, you can sign up for a LINE Official Account using your personal LINE account or email.
- Log in to the LINE Developer Console, navigate to Providers, and click Create.
Depending on the country of origin, you can create Line Official accounts:
In case, you already have an existing LINE account, proceed to step 8.
- Create a provider.
- Create a new channel.
- Select Messaging API.
- Accept the Terms of Service and click Create.
You will now be presented with the details of your newly created LINE Official Account. The next step is to set up the Infobip account with your LINE account.
Here are the details required to complete the registration process:
- LINE Assertion Signing Key
- Channel Access Token (long-lived)
Infobip will provide you with a channel ID (CHID) on the Infobip platform so you can connect your LINE Official Account with the Infobip platform.
DO YOU HAVE AN INFOBIP ACCOUNT?
To use the Infobip platform, you need credentials. If you already have an Infobip account, log in to our web interface. Otherwise, create an account.
Connect your LINE account with the Infobip platform by setting up the webhook in the Messaging API section.
Once finished, you can proceed to access the LINE Official Account Manager.
MESSSAGING API WEBHOOK
The webhook will be provided by the Infobip team together with further instructions that are required to set up the account. The dedicated LINE Presales Engineer can be set as Admin of your LINE Official Account to assist your account setup.
