Software Engineer Internship

My first language is Java and my favorite thing to do is solve problems. I want to know how my application works under the hood. I believe the only good code is a clean and tested one. I always accompany the answer to 'how?' with the question 'why'.

During your 10 weeks, you will learn about:

Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Spring data, JavaScript, React
Functional programming, SOA, REST, GIT / GIT flow
Continuous Integration using Maven, Jenkins, and Artifactory

You will also learn:

Planning and organizing work in a team using Scrum methodology, Clean code principles, Testing and Test-Driven Development
High Availability, Monitoring, metrics, and logging
High Availability, Infobip remoting, Concurrency, Async I/O

You're a right fit because:

You're B.sc. or Mr.sc. of a college related to IT (eg. computer science, mathematics) with no professional experience
Or have knowledge and experience in software engineering regardless of formal education; you consider yourself a junior software engineer

You are also:

Able to work full-time
Fluent in Croatian/Bosnian and English
Have an active work permit for Croatia or BiH
Eligible for permanent work in Vodnjan, Rijeka, Sarajevo, or Zagreb

Software Engineer Internship timeline:

  • February 7th
    Application Deadline
  • February 25th
    Internship Start Date
  • February 25th to March 8th
    Two-week educational program at Pangea Campus in Vodnjan. This program will consist of lectures and a mock project to consolidate what you've learned.
  • March 11th to May 3rd
    Eight-week project where you will work in smaller teams with a dedicated mentor in Vodnjan, Zagreb or Sarajevo.
  • May 6th

I finished my engineering classes but I don't see myself developing technologies after college. I always wanted to see the business side of IT solutions. I nailed my last presentation and I see myself standing in front of clients, providing them with technical solutions. I want to juggle technology, business deals, and high-tech clients.

During your two weeks, you will learn how to:

Create ideas and design technical solutions based on client needs 
Propose business solutions to clients to help them evolve their business 
Develop project scope and objectives

You will also learn:

The ins and outs of Infobip’s communication platform
The technical side of our products and services
Ways to integrate Infobip’s messaging services into various solutions 
The value of engineers in a business environment 

You're a right fit because:

Frequently Asked Questions

We expect a detailed CV where you will list your education, work experience, projects, and technologies you know. Make sure to include links or files to show off your projects that you did in college, work, associations, or contests (for example your Git account or a case study). An application letter is optional.

If you meet the requirements, you will receive a call where we will go over basic information. Then, you will be given an assignment, followed by a live interview. You will receive clear guidance throughout the selection process as to what your next steps are.

All accommodation and transportation expenses will be covered by Infobip.

There is a restaurant and kitchen available at the Pangea campus.

We expect you to be fully present during your first two weeks. If your internship continues, you can arrange the days off with your mentor.

This is your time to shine, what happens afterwards is up to you. This internship is an opportunity for you to meet us and for us to meet you. Our goal is to have you continue working at Infobip in your designated team for years to come.

Yes, this is a paid internship with the addition of accommodation and travel expenses being covered by Infobip.

Presales Engineer interns will have to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) and will receive a student or work contract upon finishing the internship. Software Engineer interns will sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) and will receive a student or work contract, depending on their status.

During the first two weeks you will be working full-time, from 9AM to 5PM. As a Software Engineer intern, you will continue working full-time, while as a Presales Engineer you can work part-time (at least 30h/week).
