Understand opt-in and opt-out requirements

End users must have a clear way to opt in to your RCS communications and an equally clear way to opt out. This page covers the opt-in and opt-out requirements that apply before, during, and after you start sending messages.

Opt-in requirements

During sender launch, you must prove your intent to enable end users to opt in and out of your communications.

After an end user opts in, you can send them RCS communications at any time.

Opt-out requirements

End users must have the option to unsubscribe from your RCS communications by request. After an end user opts out, you must not send them further communication unless they opt back in.
