Manage segments
EARLY ACCESSMaintain your audience segmentation strategy by editing, deleting, and duplicating segments. To create new segments, see Create a segment.
Edit a segment
You can edit a segment only if it is not used in an active Journey. You must stop or complete the Journey before editing the segment.
To edit a segment:
- Go to Customer Profiles → Segments.
- Select the segment you want to edit.
- Make the relevant changes.
- Select Save.
Delete a segment
You can delete a segment only if it is not used in an active Journey.
- Go to Customer Profiles → Segments.
- Delete the segment:
- To delete a single segment, select the three dots next to the segment and select Delete.
- To delete multiple segments, select the segments you want to delete and then select Delete.
Deleting a segment does not delete the person profiles in the segment. The profiles remain in Customer Profiles.
Duplicate a segment
Duplicating a segment creates a copy that you can modify without affecting the original segment. This is useful when you want to create similar segments with minor variations.
To duplicate a segment:
- Go to Customer Profiles → Segments.
- Select the three dots next to the segment.
- Select Duplicate.
A copy of the segment is created with the same rules as the original segment. You can edit the duplicate segment independently.
