Email reputation report
The email reputation report gives you insight into the sending reputation of your email traffic. Reputation is tracked using two key technical identifiers: sending IP and envelope domain.
Reputation data is calculated daily using UTC timezone. Day is the only available time aggregation.
To generate an email reputation report, you must have at least one dedicated sending IP or an envelope domain configured.
Dimensions
The following table describes the dimensions available in the email reputation report.
| Dimension | Description | Availability |
|---|---|---|
| Envelope domain | The "return address" domain used by the mail server to send emails and handle bounces. May differ from the From address. For more information, see Envelope domain system. | Always available |
| Sending IP | IP address of the mail server used for delivery tracking and reputation management. Only dedicated IPs are shown. For more information, see Purchase and manage dedicated IPs. To build reputation on a new IP, see IP and domain warmup. | Available if you have at least one dedicated IP |
| Account | Sub-account within your account hierarchy. Includes disabled accounts. | Available if sub-accounts exist |
| Day | Date of email activity (UTC timezone). | Mandatory |
Sending IP and envelope domain are mutually exclusive as primary dimensions. You can select only one per report.
Filters
The following table describes the filters available in the email reputation report.
| Filter | Description | Availability |
|---|---|---|
| Account | Include or exclude specific sub-accounts. Includes disabled accounts. | Available if account hierarchy exists |
| Envelope domain | Include or exclude specific envelope domains. | Always available |
| Sending IP | Include or exclude specific dedicated IP addresses. | Available if you have at least one dedicated IP |
Metrics
Email authentication
The following table describes the email authentication metrics.
| Metric | Description |
|---|---|
| SPF success rate | Percentage of emails that passed SPF (Sender Policy Framework) authentication. Measures how well the sender IP is authorized to send on behalf of the domain. |
| DKIM success rate | Percentage of emails that passed DKIM (DomainKeys Identified Mail) authentication. Measures the integrity and authenticity of email content through cryptographic signatures. |
| DMARC success rate | Percentage of emails that passed DMARC (Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting and Conformance) authentication. Combines SPF and DKIM results to verify sender legitimacy and policy compliance. |
Each authentication metric can report the following values: Pass, Fail, SoftFail, Neutral, None, Temperror, Permerror, Policy override, Mismatch, Missing, Unknown.
Sender reputation
The following table describes the sender reputation metrics.
| Metric | Description |
|---|---|
| Sender score | Overall reputation score (0–100) based on a weighted calculation of bounce rate, spam complaints, blocklist impact, spam trap hits, and unknown user rate. Higher scores indicate better reputation. For more information about these factors, see Email deliverability. To track engagement metrics that affect your score, see Email tracking and analytics. |
Sender score data is available only for sending identities with higher traffic volumes. Accounts below this threshold can still access authentication-based reputation signals such as Google Postmaster and Microsoft SNDS.
Inbox provider reputation
The following table describes the inbox provider reputation metrics.
| Metric | Description | Values |
|---|---|---|
| Google Postmaster reputation | Reputation score provided by Google Postmaster Tools. Reflects how Gmail perceives the sender's reputation. Impacts deliverability to Gmail and Google Workspace mailboxes. | Bad, Low, Medium, High (higher is better) |
| Microsoft reputation | Reputation score from Microsoft's Smart Network Data Services (SNDS). Reflects how Outlook.com and Microsoft 365 perceive the sender. Impacts deliverability to Microsoft email services. | Green (good) to Red (poor) |
Blocklist status
The following table describes the blocklist status metric.
| Metric | Description |
|---|---|
| Blocklist status | Indicates whether the sending IP or envelope domain appears on major blocklists. Checked against: Spamhaus, SORBS, SpamCop, SURBL, UCEPROTECT, Barracuda, Invaluement. For help with blocklist removal and reputation recovery, see Deliverability services. |
Possible blocklist status values: Not listed, Listed (Minor blocklist), Listed (Major blocklist), Listed (Multiple blocklists), Delisted (removed from the blocklist), Pending re-evaluation, Unknown.
Data reflects current IP and domain assignments only. Historical reputation data is not tracked after a sending IP or an envelope domain is reassigned.
