📨 Optimove messaging
Overview
The SMS for Optimove app lets you connect your Optimove instance with the Infobip portal and incorporate SMS messaging into your Optimove customer journeys. The app also supports:
- Full SMS reporting within Optimove analytics
- Personalized SMS messages
- URL tracking of every message
What You Will Need
- Optimove API credentials (username and password)
- List of customer attributes, you want to use to personalize messages
- Phone attribute field
- SMS sender
NOTE: Contact Optimove to obtain API credentials and customer attributes.
Installation
- To install SMS for Optimove, log into Infobip and go to Exchange.
- Find and click on the Optimove app.
- Click Add.
- Accept the Terms and Conditions and proceed with installation.
Setup
IMPORTANT: You can have only one configuration per account.
You can edit your configuration anytime by clicking on the three dots and selecting Edit Configuration.
- Click on Connect Account.
- You will be forwarded to the configuration screen.
- Enter the Username and Password you got from Optimove.
- Enter the Phone Attribute value. This is the customer attribute available in Optimove where mobile numbers are saved. This value varies and could be PHONENUMBER, MOBILENUMBER, PHONE, etc.
- Select your Customer Region.
- Click Save.
Create a Template
Once you finish setting up your account, you need to create templates.
NOTE: Make sure you have the Optimove customer attributes you want to use to personalize messages.
By clicking on the Template tab, you will see a list of existing templates:
- Click on the Create Template button.
- Enter a Template Name. This will be visible as a part of Templates inside of Campaign setup in Optimove.
- Enter your Message Content.
- Select any Placeholders you want to use from the drop-down list.
- Select if you want to enable URL Shortening and Tracking.
When you finish, the screen will resemble the sample shown below.
Click on the Save button to save your Template.
To view your templates, click on the three dots and select View Template. This displays a read-only view of the message template.
Once you finish setup and templates, both the templates and the app should be visible within Optimove when you create a campaign.
