Overview
When you connect your BigCommerce instance to People, you can use your customer data in the Infobip products that you use. For example, if you use Moments, you can use your BigCommerce contacts in campaigns and broadcasts.
What you will need
- An Infobip account
- A BigCommerce account
- An API account for BigCommerce
The integration involves just two steps:
- Set up authentication to allow the BigCommerce and Infobip platforms to communicate with each other.
- Map BigCommerce data fields to People so Infobip products can use the data.
See the following sections for instructions.
Set Up Authentication
Create API account
- Log into your BigCommerce account and go to the admin panel.
- Navigate to Advanced Settings > API Accounts.
- Click Create API Account and choose Create V2/V3 API Token.
- Enter a name for the app/migration corresponding to this account, and then copy or make note of the API Path. You will need this to interact with the API.
- Under OAuth Scopes, specify the API resources and permissions to which your app/migration requires access. If you want to use this Private app for Next-Cart migration program, set all access levels of the following scopes to either:
- Read-only if BigCommerce is your Source store
- Modify if BigCommerce is your Target store
- Click Save. If successful, a TXT file containing the API credentials will download to your computer and a pop-up will display showing the credentials.
- Copy the Client ID, Client Secret, and Access Token information, or save the downloaded file.
Note that if you lose track of the credentials, you will need to delete the API account and create a new one.
Add credentials to Infobip
- Log into Infobip and navigate to Exchange > BigCommerce for People.
- Click the Add button and accept the Exchange Terms & Conditions. Next you will see a configuration page.
- Select the Credentials tab and click ADD CREDENTIALS.
- Add the Access Token & Store hash obtained when you set up authentication for People. The hash is embedded in the store URL.
- Click Submit.
Map Data Fields
The last integration step is to map BigCommerce data fields to People.
- Log into Infobip and navigate to the Integrations tab.
- On the far right, click the three dots and select Update Mapping.
- The left column displays your BigCommerce fields and the right column displays the available People fields. Map the fields you want to make available in People so they are available to other Infobip products.
