IoT stands for Internet of Things. It is a network of a vast array of physical objects embedded with electronics, software, sensors, and network connectivity which enable you to locate, collect and exchange data with them. This can be anything from buildings, vehicles, devices, etc.
Infobip provides a powerful single management tool inside the IoT space called Things. It is designed to deliver M2M/IoT control and exceptional operational management efficiencies for every connected device in your inventory.
Using Things, you can manage IoT devices in real-time, set communication services, and receive billing and usage information to optimize service delivery. You can also set up and configure your daily/weekly alerts around different factors as you require. And importantly, you can set up reporting subscriptions through our Analyze module.
Seamlessly order SIMs in the web interface without having to contact any sales representatives. Set size, quantities, technology, and shipping information.
Manage IoT SIM statuses from activation right the way through to suspension and deactivation at the end of the IoT device lifecycle.
Insights and Limits
Gain insights and alerts around your devices data consumption to keep track of your hourly, daily, and monthly usage.
Send SMS communications to your devices in sleep mode to wake them up, or use SMS to send configuration updates.
Monitor device behavior and receive alerts for any suspicious activity based on historic activity.
Keep track on your IoT devices' locations using radio technology data which is retrieved via the Infobip API or web interface.
- Voice (coming soon)
Your smart devices are equipped with Infobip SIM cards which are custom made for our Things module. SIMs are connected to the radio technology of our partner operators (MNOs) which allows you to freely attach and detach to and from all network operators in the country of your IoT devices.
They are connected to the strongest signals, with automatic switchover capability between networks within the space of a second or less.
High-level information around your smart devices and their performance is processed via the API and is displayed in the Dashboard. This includes things like locations, usage, and SIM status.
It is possible to set up customized data solutions using the information that SIM gather to feed into a tailored and individual analytics solution. This allows you to capture critical data, create the required reports and metrics based on your industry's needs, and feed it back into the Infobip platform.
