Launch assistant for end users
To launch the assistant for end users, follow these steps.
- If you activated the assistant by using the test sender, you must first deactivate the assistant.
- Configure the sender.
- Activate the assistant.
End users can now interact with the assistant.
Configure the sender
You must use a registered phone number to launch the assistant for end users.
In the Number selection and launch tab > Sender field, select the arrow and then select Register WhatsApp sender.
You can do one of the following:
- Buy a pre-verified phone number from Infobip.
- Use an existing phone number that you have already registered with Infobip and have also registered with WhatsApp. You have used this phone number for Infobip's WhatsApp channel.
- Use an existing phone number that you have already registered with Infobip but have not registered the number with WhatsApp. Example: You have used this phone number for Infobip's Viber channel.
- Use a WhatsApp number that is registered with another BSP.
- Use an existing phone number that is not registered with either Infobip or another business service provider (BSP).
Buy a pre-verified phone number
Buy a pre-verified phone number from Infobip. This number does not need two-factor authentication.
To use this option, select I want to buy pre-verified number. For instructions to buy a number and for information about pre-verified numbers, refer to the Numbers documentation.
Use existing WhatsApp phone number registered with Infobip
Use an existing phone number that you have already registered with Infobip and have also registered with WhatsApp. You have used this phone number for Infobip's WhatsApp channel.
This number does not need two-factor authentication.
To use this option, do the following:
- Select I already have a number I want to use.
- Select the number from the list.
- Select Continue. You get a notification that the number has been verified.
Use existing phone number registered with Infobip for a different channel
Use an existing phone number that you have already registered with Infobip but have not registered the number with WhatsApp. Example: You have used this phone number for Infobip's Viber channel.
This number does not need two-factor authentication.
To use this option, do the following:
- Select I already have a number I want to use.
- Select the number from the list.
- Select Continue. You get a notification that the number has been verified.
- Select Login with Facebook to register the number with WhatsApp. Follow the embedded signup process.
Use WhatsApp number registered with another BSP
To use a WhatsApp number that is registered with another BSP, contact Infobip.

Use existing phone number that is not registered
Use an existing phone number that is not registered with either Infobip or another BSP.
To use this option, do the following:
- Select I already have a number I want to use.
- Select the number from the list.
- Select I already have a number outside of Infobip.
- Select Continue.
- Select Login with Facebook to register the number with WhatsApp. Follow the embedded signup process.
