Simulate and test the assistant
To test how the assistant works, you can do one or more of the following:
Identify any changes that you might need to make.
What to test
Ask questions that you expect an end user to ask. Check whether the assistant's responses are what you expect and what the messages look like.
You can test all the tasks that you added to the assistant.
Test relevant actions
Check whether the assistant responds as expected when you ask it to perform the configured actions.
Example: For the AI support task, ask questions based on the content source. It can take a few seconds for the assistant to respond.
Test irrelevant actions
Check whether the assistant responds as expected when you ask it to perform irrelevant actions.
Example: For the AI support task, ask questions that are not relevant to the content source. The assistant should tell you that it cannot help.
Simulate the assistant in Experiences
To simulate, use the Preview pane on the right. Send a message to the assistant to start the conversation. You can send an unlimited number of messages to the assistant.
The assistant responds with a welcome message based on the settings and content source.
Note
If you make and save any changes to the assistant, the simulator resets.
Test the assistant on your device
The assistant uses the test sender that is allocated for your account. This sender is displayed in the Business assistant > Channel and sender section.
Criteria and guidelines
- You can test the assistant only on the device that uses the number that you used to sign up to your Infobip account.
- You can test the assistant through the associated channel on your device. Example: If you configured the assistant for WhatsApp, you can test the assistant through the WhatsApp app on your device.
Test the assistant
- If the assistant is inactive, activate it.
- Select the assistant.
- Select Channel and sender.
- On your device, scan the QR code that is displayed in this section.
- Follow the onscreen instructions to open a conversation in the relevant app. Example: If the assistant is for WhatsApp, the QR code opens the WhatsApp app on your device.
- In the message field in WhatsApp, the username of your Infobip account is prefilled. Send it as a message.
You receive a response from the assistant. You can now start chatting with the assistant.
