Passive email storage provides long-term retention (up to 10 years) for your email content. Emails stored in archives are preserved securely and can be retrieved when needed for specific business or legal requirements.
This type of storage is designed for scenarios where emails need to be accessed occasionally, including:
- Legal disputes: Retrieve email records as evidence for legal proceedings or trials.
- Compliance requirements: Maintain email archives to meet regulatory and compliance obligations.
- Auditing purposes: Access historical email data for internal or external audits.
With passive storage, your email content is retained for extended periods and can be retrieved on demand when these situations arise.
Email retrieval procedure
To retrieve archived email content, contact Support and provide the following details:
- Sender address: the email address that sent the message.
- Recipient address: the email address that received the message.
- Date and time of sending: when the email was sent.
Request processing may take up to 48 hours once the responsible team begins handling it.
