Email monitoring and performance

Monitoring email delivery performance helps ensure that your messages reach users efficiently and reliably. Infobip provides performance insights to help you track delivery timing and provider-specific success rates.

Average time to deliver email

Delivery time reflects how quickly an email is accepted by the recipient’s mail server after it is sent. Infobip continuously monitors average delivery times so you can determine performance across your traffic.

Delivery speed depends on several factors, including:

  • Message size
  • Destination provider
  • Content scanning delays
  • Authentication setup

Smaller, authenticated messages generally have faster delivery times.

Delivery rate per provider

NoteFor transactional email traffic, a typical benchmark for time to first delivery attempt is less than 2 seconds.

Infobip tracks the success rate of message delivery across all major mailbox providers. Regularly monitoring these metrics helps you identify issues, optimize your sending strategy, and maintain high deliverability.

Key metrics include:

  • Delivery success and failure rate
  • Bounce frequency
  • Provider-level filtering behavior
