Courtney Munroe, Research Vice President, Worldwide Telecommunications Research at IDC, said: “Infobip has established a global footprint and strong capabilities in the CPaaS market with its broad portfolio for enterprises as well as a carrier-grade service offering – an imperative for network operators delivering global messaging services. It has a unique breadth, depth and one-of-a-kind modularity of its communication platform. As a result of these strengths, and in contrast to its many competitors, Infobip is financially solid, and has grown rapidly in the past two years.”
IDC MarketScape vendor analysis model is designed to provide an overview of the competitive fitness of ICT suppliers in a given market. The research methodology utilizes a rigorous scoring methodology based on both qualitative and quantitative criteria that results in a single graphical illustration of each vendor’s position within a given market. The Capabilities score measures vendor product, go-to-market and business execution in the short-term. The Strategy score measures alignment of vendor strategies with customer requirements in a 3-5-year timeframe. Vendor market share is represented by the size of the circles. Vendor year-over-year growth rate relative to the given market is indicated by a plus, neutral or minus next to the vendor name.

IDC company profile about Infobip
Enabling the future of communications
In a new report, tech analyst firm IDC says that Infobip, the global cloud communications platform provider, is well positioned to help businesses accelerate digital transformation, improve customer success, and deliver operational efficiencies.
IDC identifies Infobip’s continuous innovation, focus on growth, collaborative spirit, and customer-centric mindset as drivers of successful expansion and new avenues for growth.
Melissa Fremeijer-Holtz, IDC analyst and report author, said: “Infobip is among a few vendors that provide a true omnichannel services offering. Its focus on delivering high-quality services, co-creation, and customer success management exhibits its outside-in customer-centric attitude and thought leadership in the CPaaS market.”
“Infobip is well underway in fulfilling its vision to be the invisible force that reimagines a world of conversation. IDC applauds Infobip’s appetite for growth, focus on data, and accessibility to developers, partners, and customers, which support value creation, innovation, and exchange.”
Infobip named a leader in CPaaS by IDC MarketScape
Infobip was named as a Leader in IDC’s MarketScape: Worldwide Communications Platform as a Service report for 2021, which assesses cloud communications platform vendors based on the capabilities of their product and company today, and how well their strategy aligns with future customer needs.
IDC mentions a broad portfolio, global scale and footprint as key differentiators for Infobip, and highlights that the company has a great reputation for reliability and solid round-the-clock support. Infobip’s challenge is visibility, according to IDC: it’s “one of the most widely used CPaaS you never heard about,” but the acquisition of OpenMarket will provide a major boost.
The CPaaS industry grew by over 30% year-on-year in 2020, to $5.9 billion, but IDC sees challenges for new entrants. CPaaS platforms require deep internetworking with carriers and distributed IP and cloud assets to deliver quality voice calls and messages. They also need an extensive network of developers and marketing outreach to enterprises.
