Infobip receives global recognition as Tier-one SMS firewall vendor

London, UK – 10th November 2017 – Infobip, the global cloud communications provider, has been recognised as a Tier-one SMS Firewall vendor of 2017 in a performance report from leading telecom research company ROCCO.

The SMS Firewall research was performed by ROCCO to highlight the industry players that enable mobile network operators (MNOs) to prevent SMS fraud threats to their customers. Infobip’s sGate Firewall product was rated and reviewed by 172 mobile network operators (MNOs) from August to October 2017. Impressively, Infobip was one of four companies to achieve Tier-one status.

“We feel incredibly humbled and proud to receive the recognition by mobile operators for our SMS Firewall product. It truly shows that Infobip is a market leader where sGate Firewall sophisticated algorithm techniques truly enable SMS messaging insight and monetization capabilities. We couldn’t be in a better place moving forward delivering network monitoring solutions to an even broader market,” said Izabel Jelenic, CTO at Infobip.

Tier-one providers had to achieve a minimum ranking of 4 out of 5, with 5 being the highest grade across all categories to gain Tier-one status. Participating companies were also ranked on their performance, value and leadership.

ROCCO’s research and results also recognizes Infobip’s success in receiving “Best Anti-Fraud Innovation” for sGate SMS Firewall at the 2017 Global Carrier Awards. Participating companies included major players such as PCCW Global and TATA Communications.
