Infobip hosts ENISA representative for expert meeting on cybersecurity
Discussion on the implementation of the Cybersecurity Act and NIS2 Directive held ahead of the fourth SK@UT conference and European Cybersecurity Month
Zagreb, October 5, 2026 – Infobip hosted Hans de Vries, Chief Cybersecurity and Operations Officer at the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity (ENISA), at its Zagreb campus for an expert meeting on the current state and challenges of implementing the cybersecurity legislative framework and exchanging experiences with the private sector.
The meeting was organized in cooperation with the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC-HR), which highlighted Infobip as an example of successful cooperation in the field of cybersecurity. It was held ahead of the fourth SK@UT conference, organized by NCSC-HR on October 1, 2026, and as part of European Cybersecurity Month, which takes place throughout October to raise awareness of the importance of cybersecurity and strengthen the resilience of citizens, businesses, and institutions against cyber threats.
The discussion focused on the Cybersecurity Act, which has been in force in Croatia since February 2024 and transposes the European NIS2 Directive into Croatian legislation, with the aim of increasing the level of cybersecurity across the European Union.
Security is an integral part of our business given the nature of what we do, while cybersecurity across society requires continuous effort, responsibility, and cooperation among all participants across the digital ecosystem. The transposition of the NIS2 Directive into national legislation is a step in the right direction. Our discussion with the ENISA representative provided an opportunity to exchange experiences on the implementation of the Cybersecurity Act, the challenges companies face in strengthening their resilience, and current threats. This kind of expert exchange is important for better understanding the regulatory framework and further improving security practices across Europe.”
Andro Galinović
Chief Information Security Officer at Infobip
“Cooperation and open dialogue between the public and private sectors are key to strengthening cyber resilience. Discussions with companies that implement the prescribed measures in practice help us better understand the challenges involved in implementing the Cybersecurity Act and the importance of continuously improving security practices,” said representatives of the National Cyber Security Centre.
Infobip had been taking steps to strengthen its cyber resilience even before the Cybersecurity Act came into force and sees exchanges such as this one with ENISA representatives as a continuation of its long-term approach to security as a strategic issue, rather than solely a regulatory one.
