Kuala Lumpur, 4 November 2025.Infobip Shift, one of the most attended developer conferences, was held in Asia for the first time, in Kuala Lumpur, a city known for its growing tech community and support for startups. The goal of the conference was to connect developers, startups, and technology leaders from Southeast Asia and encourage the exchange of knowledge on AI, software development, and innovation.

This edition of the conference also marked the expansion of Infobip Shift to a third continent within the same year, following the editions in Zadar and Miami, positioning it as a global developer platform.

The conference in Kuala Lumpur was part of the Cradle Live! ASEAN Startup Summit, organised in collaboration with Cradle Fund, Malaysia’s leading agency for early-stage startups. It brought together more than 1.000 attendees, developers, and tech professionals, and hosted numerous renowned speakers from global companies such as IBM, Atlassian, Amazon Web Services, LMArena, and Okta.

We are proud to collaborate with Infobip to bring Shift to Kuala Lumpur for the first time. This partnership highlights our shared commitment to strengthening Malaysia’s developer and startup ecosystem by creating opportunities for knowledge exchange, innovation, and regional collaboration. As part of the Cradle LIVE! Startup ASEAN Summit, this platform not only connects global technology leaders with local talent but also reinforces our vision of positioning Malaysia as a leading innovation hub in Southeast Asia.”

Norman Matthieu Vanhaecke

Group Chief Executive Officer, Cradle

The Asian edition of Infobip Shift is a key step in connecting the global developer community, which we have already had the honour of hosting at our conferences in Zadar and Miami, as well as through the developer magazine ShiftMag. It was not an easy decision to take this step, but thanks to our partner Cradle, we were able to launch the first edition and connect with the local startup and developer community. While the developer community primarily shares knowledge through digital channels, it is remarkable how meetups and conferences such as Shift can often become the crucial step toward new solutions, whether they are developed with the help of AI or without it.”

Ivan Brezak Brkan

Infobip’s Director of Developer Content

The conference focused on topics such as the future of software, user experience, key skills for developers, practical strategies for balancing the benefits and risks of AI, and how professionals can successfully navigate an industry increasingly shaped by artificial intelligence.

With the new edition of Infobip Shift in Kuala Lumpur, the conference once again confirms its status as a must-attend meeting point for developers who want to learn, connect, and create innovations that transform the industry.
