Zagreb, 17 February 2026. – The EDIH Adria consortium (European Digital Innovation Hub Adria), of which the global cloud communications platform Infobip is a member, has recently successfully completed a three-year EU project aimed at strengthening the digital maturity of Croatian small and medium-sized enterprises and the public sector, with a strong focus on artificial intelligence. EDIH Adria ranked among the ten most successful EDIHs in the European Union and earned the title of the best in Croatia by number of services delivered.

EDIH Adria ranked first in Croatia and Europe for training programmes

Infobip participated in the project alongside the University of Rijeka as the project lead, Ericsson Nikola Tesla, the University of Pula, the StepRI education incubator, and the PORIN development agency.

The EDIH Adria project has shown that digital transformation can be concrete, measurable, and directly beneficial for entrepreneurs and the public sector. Through hands-on work, technology testing, and targeted training programmes, we enabled organizations to apply new digital tools, particularly those based on artificial intelligence, in real business and administrative processes. We are proud of the results achieved and the strong collaboration with our partners, which has positioned EDIH Adria as one of the most successful European initiatives of its kind.”

Damir Medved

Director of EDIH Adria

During the implementation of the project, Infobip organized four bootcamps for small and medium-sized enterprises and public institutions and carried out 23 Test Before Invest (TBI) projects, mostly focused on early prototypes of AI chatbots. These projects involved testing the application of digital technologies before their actual implementation and investment, with each participating organization supported by a dedicated project team, resulting in personalized prototype solutions and recommendations. In addition, Infobip delivered 11 training programmes attended by more than 380 participants in Vodnjan, Zagreb, and online. The training focused on practical, immediately applicable knowledge in areas such as generative artificial intelligence, employee onboarding, cybersecurity, and GDPR compliance.

EDIH Adria has demonstrated how structured collaboration, hands-on work, and a strong focus on artificial intelligence can accelerate real digital transformation. For Infobip, participation in the EDIH Adria project was a valuable experience and an opportunity to share our knowledge with the community. We thank the entire team, our partners, and all organizations involved in the project for their excellent collaboration, and we are proud that our joint work and the results achieved provide a strong foundation for the further development of digital innovation in the region and beyond.”

AI assistant for the spatial plans of the City of Križevci

The Test Before Invest (TBI) workshops proved particularly useful for the City of Križevci, which wanted to enable citizens to quickly and easily access information on building conditions and spatial plans. For this purpose, an AI assistant was developed that uses artificial intelligence to instantly deliver relevant information about building conditions for a specific parcel in response to a text query sent via WhatsApp. In addition to being available 24/7, it can be integrated with the existing Geographic Information System (GIS) for viewing spatial and municipal data, implemented as a live chat on the city’s website, and easily updated in the event of changes to the General Urban Development Plan.

Through the EDIH Adria project, we demonstrated that the digital transformation of public administration does not begin with technology but with responsible governance. The Test Before Invest concept allowed us to test the real value of solutions for citizens before making investment decisions. The AI assistant developed for the City of Križevci shows how artificial intelligence can simplify access to spatial and municipal information and make public administration faster, more accessible, and more transparent. I believe that a decision-making model based on testing, measurable outcomes, and partnerships with the technology sector, such as our collaboration with Infobip, can and should become a reference framework for the digital transformation of local and regional governments in Croatia.”

Infobip marks 20 years of business and anticipates the era of agentic artificial intelligence

On the occasion of its 20th anniversary, Infobip presents its vision for the future of communication between brands and users. This vision is shaped by teams of experts who develop globally recognized products and solutions for leading global brands and technology platforms

Vodnjan, 11 February 2026. – Global cloud communications platform Infobip is marking 20 years of business this year, reaffirming its status as one of the leading IT companies in Croatia and the region, as well as a global leader actively shaping the future of cloud and AI communications. After two decades of continuous growth, adaptation, and transformation, the company is entering a new chapter defined by the most significant technological shift so far – artificial intelligence – while offering a glimpse into the future of communication and anticipating a fundamental change in the way brands will interact with consumers.

Two decades of innovation

Founded in 2006 as a small startup in Vodnjan, Infobip has grown into Croatia’s first unicorn and one of the largest technology hubs in the region. Today, it operates on six continents through more than 70 offices, employs over 3,500 experts, and develops globally recognized products and services for leading global brands and technology platforms, including WhatsApp, Microsoft, Oracle, Adobe, Meta, Viber, Deutsche Telekom, Virgin Atlantic, and Nissan. Infobip’s teams, led by engineers, work on a globally distributed platform that scales in every country, processes massive volumes of transactions with seamless reliability, and ensures that every message reaches the right place at the right time.

Over two decades of operations, Infobip has continuously followed and led changes in communication between brands and users – from mobile messaging to today’s AI-first solutions. As it enters a new era, Infobip is further accelerating its transformation into a company where the development of artificial intelligence is a strategic priority, and where technology and talent reinforce each other to drive innovation.

When we founded Infobip, our goal was never just to build technology. We moved forward driven by conviction, not certainty. Together with our people and our customers, we continuously evolved, started anew, and always kept moving forward. That is why we still say that we are only just beginning – because through constant adaptation we continue to grow and develop as leaders.”

Silvio Kutić

Chief Executive Officer of Infobip

The future is agent-to-agent communication

Infobip anticipates a fundamental shift in communication, with a gradual transition from the current application-to-person (A2P) model to an agent-to-user model, which is expected to evolve into fully autonomous agent-to-agent communication by 2030. Such a development will enable advanced personalization and autonomous interactions across multiple communication channels.

The way we communicate with brands is constantly evolving. In this new world of agentic artificial intelligence, brands must seize the opportunity to adopt a holistic approach to communication. It is essential to leverage the hyper-personalization enabled by agentic AI solutions and rich communication channels such as RCS and WhatsApp. At Infobip, we have teams that have already proven they can build and apply this technology in global environments.”

Silvio Kutić

Chief Executive Officer of Infobip

Challenge for brands

Infobip highlights that the market’s level of readiness is currently low – only around 5% of AI agent projects within organizations reach the production stage due to unstructured data and internal barriers.

Companies must act now. Organizational structures that enable data sharing will be crucial for the successful deployment of AI agents, and brands that fail to prepare risk losing their competitive advantage. It is precisely in this transition from concept to real-world implementation that Infobip has the experience, platform, and solutions to make it possible.”

Infobip Shift 2025: After a Spectacular Edition in Zadar, the Conference Heads to Kuala Lumpur

Zadar, September 17, 2025. – This year’s edition of Infobip Shift, one of the most visited developers’ conferences in this part of Europe, concluded yesterday in Zadar. Over three days, the conference brought together more than 5,000 attendees, over 115 speakers from 50 countries, and representatives and employees from more than 600 companies.

As one of the most relevant events for the software industry, Infobip Shift gathered the global developer community in one place, along with renowned names from the regional IT scene such as Infinum, Rimac, and Sofascore. The conference took place from September 14 to 16 at several locations across Zadar, including the Krešimir Ćosić Sports Center in Višnjik, a sports complex spanning 15,000 square meters.

The conference focused on topics such as software development, cybersecurity, engineering leadership, and startup culture, with special emphasis on artificial intelligence. As part of the rich program across six stages, more than 70 talks, panels, and workshops were held. Attendees were also drawn to attractions such as simulators and the displayed MoneyGram Haas F1 Team show car.

The growing number of speakers and attendees, the quality of the talks, and the networking opportunities that Infobip Shift provides show that this is not only the most important developer event in this part of Europe, but also a platform that sets standards for the developer community—always keeping pace with the topics shaping the technology industry. Over the past few years, the conference has expanded beyond borders: from Zadar it reached the United States, and this year it is expanding to Asia.”

Ivan Brezak Brkan

The conference program was highlighted by a keynote lecture from Matt Biilmann, co-founder and CEO of Netlify. He is one of the world’s leading advocates of the new concept of Agent Experience (AX), which enables collaboration between developers and AI agents in building software.

I believe that in the coming years software development will increasingly be oriented not only toward people but also toward AI agents. We are developing software for agents, and they are becoming real users and collaborators. AX will give us answers to questions about how to design products that agents want to use and can work with effectively. I believe this is one of the biggest changes in technology since the web was created, because the ability of agents to write software will itself radically change the way we build and use technology.”

Vodnjan, July 28, 2025. – A ceremony marking the completion of another summer internship program was held at Infobip’s campus in Vodnjan. This year’s program brought together 40 students from Vodnjan, Zagreb, Split, and Sarajevo.

The program once again demonstrated that internships are not only the first step in a career but also an important part of a broader talent development strategy within one of Croatia’s leading technology companies. Investing in young professionals and their development through high-quality early opportunities contributes to building a strong, long-term talent pipeline. This is further confirmed by the fact that Infobip hired 82 students this year alone from Vodnjan, Zagreb, Split, and Sarajevo.

The internship gave me insight into how a global company operates from organization to teamwork. What meant the most to me were the daily knowledge exchanges and working on real projects. It inspired me to continue my career in an environment that encourages learning and mutual support.”

Lucija Skorić

Operations Intern, Infobip

The program included more than ten departments, from engineering to human resources, and featured structured onboarding and mentorship. More than 1,000 applications for each open internship position this year confirm the quality of the program and the strong interest among young people in working at Infobip.

From day one we were included in a structured program that introduced us to the company’s operations and team dynamics. What impressed me most was the open and inclusive culture, where the company’s values are truly lived. Working on real projects gave me a clear vision of my professional development. I recommend the Infobip internship to anyone looking for a combination of technological expertise, global impact, and genuine professional growth.”

Tin Rajković

Market Growth Intern, Infobip

Internship as the beginning of long-term development

The Infobip internship program is only the starting point in a well-developed employee growth system. The company, which employs more than 3,500 people from over 70 countries, invests heavily in career advancement from global exchanges and opportunities to work abroad to clear development paths, bonuses, and the Career Mobility program, which allows employees to move between teams and offices around the world.

At Infobip, investing in employees does not end with onboarding—it actually begins there. From global employee exchanges and flexible work arrangements to clear development paths and bonuses, our people have the opportunity to grow continuously within the same ecosystem. We strongly believe that the best innovations don’t come only from ideas, but from people who have grown within the company and experienced different parts of the business. They are the ones who recognize potential and quickly turn it into concrete solutions. Career mobility further opens space for new ideas, practical learning, and fresh perspectives, which directly encourages innovation and strengthens our culture.”
