Director of Marketing EMEA

For the second year in a row, we are proud to have supported and participated in the Malaysian AEON Foundation Charity Gala dinner in Kuala Lumpur. Like last year’s event, it was organized to raise funds for the underprivileged children in Malaysia, helping them realize their dreams – dreams of basic education, medical care and things most people take for granted.

The AEON Foundation runs some of the most influential charity programs in Malaysia, With All Our Hearts Charity Fund being the most famous and oldest one of them, launched in 2001. This year’s charity gala was in its 13th incarnation, and we are honored to have contributed to its great success.

Our Kuala Lumpur team was at the event in force, headed by Managing Director APAC Alen Smoljan and Regional Sales Manager APAC CS Gill, confirming Infobip’s dedication to giving back to the communities where we operate, worldwide – especially to the children, who represent all our futures.

Director of Marketing EMEA

Zoha Tapia

Director of Marketing EMEA

With an average score of 4.24 out of 5, Infobip is the world’s best rated vendor in this year’s A2P SMS messaging vendor survey by ROCCO, concluded last week. The independent survey saw participation of more than 400 telecoms professionals from 326 mobile network operators in 147 countries.

They were asked to grade vendors on over 38 performance and leadership KPIs, such as technical expertise, quality of service, monetization of traffic, uptime, implementation process, technical support, global presence, industry expertise, local knowledge and many others. Under the Rocco proprietary methodology, companies with the average grade above 4 have been ranked Tier One.

It is an accolade to be recognized as a Tier One Vendor in our reports, because we provide an independent and completely neutral outlook on the market.

JASON BRYAN – ROCCO, CEO

ROCCO has been providing independent and unsponsored research in the specific niche area of Roaming and Interconnect since 2012. This year’s survey featured the greatest number of mobile operator respondents thus far, making it the most comprehensive industry survey of its kind.

This achievement is evidence of our hard work with mobile operators worldwide and inspiration to continue on the same path. We’re proud of our focus on innovation and proactive approach to clients and partners, who helped us get to where we are today. We are delighted that our efforts have been recognized by the telecommunications industry, but realize that we are just starting.

Reach 800 Million Users through Viber Public Accounts

Director of Marketing EMEA

Zoha Tapia

Director of Marketing EMEA

There is one thing in common for customers, business owners, app developers, and every person on this planet. When they need to talk to each other, a friend, family member the first thing they reach for is their mobile phone. And they don’t even talk, they text.

For example, Telegram, Viber, LINE and Facebook Messenger is used by 2.4BN people. According to Swyft Media, around 41.5BN messages are sent our chat apps each day.

Our chat apps are connecting us more than any other communication channel. With chat apps, you instantly know if your message has been delivered, if the other person looked at your message and even if they are typing to respond.

But your clients are not only communicating with the people they know or the people whose numbers we have stored in our contacts. They’re also talking to brands and businesses, where efficiency is key. Regardless of their simple products-related questions or a complicated customer service issue, they want to be able to chat with someone who has the right answer, right away.

To make that aspect of daily life easier and more efficient, we are introducing Public Accounts – an addition to the Viber family of features that offers a solution to all of your communication needs in one place. The only thing your user need to do is to subscribe to your Public Account.

Over Viber Public Accounts customers can get instant information using chatbots. The preferred way of communication, especially for millennials. No more talking with people.

Viber messages not only represent a way for enterprises to personalize communication towards customers, build brand awareness and deliver actionable content over a familiar medium. Offering a wide array of engagement options – Viber messages can function as transactional, promotional, and support text, images, buttons, and links.

Interactions look and feel as simple and native as their regular Viber conversations.

With Public Accounts, you can now connect to businesses and brands with the same simplicity and convenience that you’re used to through Viber. Your conversations with a Public Account will appear in your chat list so they are easily accessible, and you can glide between them and all of the conversations you’re already having.

With access to the businesses they want to talk to and the brands they care about, Viber users can continue to enjoy the messenger they trust the most as a one-stop shop for all of their communications. What’s more, businesses have the unique ability to create custom experiences for their customers through the private messaging feature, so 1-on-1 chats with them may be through a visually-rich interface or even powered by a sophisticated chatbot. Whatever experiences businesses can dream up, they can be made possible with Public Accounts.

Start exploring the different Public Accounts that have already joined the growing community today!

Director of Marketing EMEA

We’re passionate about making sure your business can always safeguard its data. This is why we’re excited to introduce 2-Factor Authentication for every Portal account.

This additional form of identity verification introduces a second credential, a unique verification PIN delivered via SMS which ensures your account is never compromised.

To enable 2FA on your account, simply login to the Portal and:

Go to MY ACCOUNT option Click “ON” next to 2-Factor Authentication option Choose one of two mentioned 2FA options

This chooses whether you’d like to perform 2FA each time when you’re logging into the Portal or our system can remember verified devices and send the verification SMS or voice message only once.

We’re excited to future-proof your enterprise communications and are always looking for new ways to stand behind your business.

Throughout 2016 we’ve kept our focus on large enterprises and financial institutions, which currently constitute the majority of our client portfolio and revenue. We’ve also hosted high-profile tech events in Kenya, Ghana and Morocco, gathering more than 100 banking professionals from across Africa, specialized in mobile and communications solutions in enterprise environments.

A2P Messaging Workshop to gather MNO experts in Dubai this April

Director of Marketing EMEA

Zoha Tapia

Director of Marketing EMEA

End of April will see 100 telecoms experts from the Middle East, Africa, Europe, India and Russia-CIS regions gather in Dubai for an Infobip-hosted workshop on the latest trends, opportunities and challenges of the fast-paced A2P messaging industry.

The event opens on Tuesday, April 25. It will offer a comprehensive ecosystem overview, key drivers and players, as well as trends and developments that will likely influence future shifts. More than 40 telecoms operators from 30+ countries will join the knowledge sharing platform.

Their insight and experience will be key for shaping a balanced discussion on the state and the future of messaging and communications, and how operators can assume a central role in it. Infobip experts will contribute with insight into the emerging opportunities for telecoms – and ways to address them.

– For years, mobile network operators haven’t been deeply invested in the A2P messaging space, which has its own rules, products and is in constant development. A2P messaging use cases are diverse from market to market, and can vary tremendously from vertical to vertical. Complexity is further increased with different integration scenarios needed by companies depending on their size, pace and legacy IT systems they maintain, says Infobip founder and CEO Silvio Kutic, who will also have a keynote speech.

Infobip has more than 10 years experience in the global A2P space, and local operations in over 40 countries. As such, the company is in a unique position to share experiences in the areas of network protection, A2P opportunity monetization and emerging A2P business models.

The diversity of existing use cases, business models and integration methods dictates the need to keep pace with the strides made by the messaging industry, where the new ecosystem takes a strategic approach to mobile messaging and operator partnerships.

Director of Marketing EMEA

Zoha Tapia

Director of Marketing EMEA

Milan, Italy, London, UK – 4 April 2017 – Global cloud communications platform, Infobip, today announced the opening of a new office in Milan. The move follows growing demand from across the country for Infobip’s professional messaging services, particularly as Infobip has a number of on-going projects with leading Italian tech companies and corporations.

The new corporate base in Milan will allow Infobip to better serve the needs of its enterprise clients through regional expertise, dedicated account managers and local language support. It will also help Infobip address the needs of global internet and OTT service providers looking to run communication programs for their users and audiences in Italy.

The opening of the Milan office is a continuation of Infobip’s strategy to create a local footprint for the global company. In the last 12 months, for example, it has consolidated its presence in the Iberian Peninsula and Nordics region, establishing offices in Madrid and Stockholm. In the following weeks, the same process will be completed in France.

“We’ve had deep ties with the Italian market for more than 10 years now, and we’re proud to call many leading Italian companies our partners and clients,” said Massimo Cristini, VP Business Operations at Infobip. “A strong office in Milan will help us to develop our channel partnerships even further. It will also make it much easier for us to give our enterprise customers the local support they need.”

Starting today, Infobip is hosting a three-day open door celebration in its newly equipped space in Piazzale Luigi Cadorna 9, at the heart of Milan’s business district, in the presence of company founders and VPs.

Cristini added: “We are committed to shaping the A2P messaging space into a fully-featured enterprise service through our partnerships with telecom operators. We believe the Italian market holds a lot of potential for the future of messaging technologies, and we’re focused on delivering the best enterprise communication solutions. The new office in Milan will help make this a reality, not only for Italian customers but also the global brands we work with.”

Infobip’s omnichannel platform gives enterprises access to programmable messaging functionality via SMS, voice, push notifications, email, and globally popular chat apps such as Viber, Facebook Messenger, and LINE. It’s delivered over a single connection and easily syncs with CRM systems to ensure the right message is delivered to their customers at the right time, and using the right channel.

Last year, more than 60 percent of the world’s unique mobile phone numbers received a programmable message processed by the Infobip platform. The company’s world-leading proprietary platform currently has over 200,000 companies and developers connected to it.

ENDS

Founded over a decade ago, Infobip grew into an international business with 50+ offices on 6 continents and proprietary, in-house developed messaging platform with the capacity to reach 6 billion mobile devices connected to over 800 telecoms networks.
