Viber Business Messaging Pricing models

Minimal monthly commitment fee

To ensure seamless service activation, Viber applies a minimal monthly commitment fee based on the destinations you send messages to.

  • 150 € per active sender/service ID for traffic to Belarus, Bulgaria, Greece, Hungary, Iraq, Moldova, Russia, Ukraine, and the United Arab Emirates.
  • 100 € per active sender/service ID for all other destinations.

If the fees vary between destinations, the highest applicable fee will be charged as the minimal monthly commitment.

No monthly fee for your first month

Viber does not charge a monthly fee for the first calendar month after business registration.

Pay only for what you use

If your business reaches the minimum fee organically, by sending more messages than included in the minimum monthly consumption, you’ll only be charged for delivered messages.

Traffic-related charges

Our pricing model for Viber Business Messages is based on message type and destination:

  • Business-initiated messages can be transactional (regular or template-based) or promotional (full-featured with media, and buttons…).
  • Charges apply only to delivered messages, with pricing varying by destination country.

If a template message is sent but does not match the expected format, it results in a template mismatch, and the message will be charged at the promotional rate.

Viber conversational session-based charging model

With Viber’s session-based charging model, businesses can engage users in real-time conversations within a defined time frame.

  • A session begins when a user initiates a conversation with your business.
  • Each session lasts 24 hours from the user’s first message.
  • Businesses can send up to 60 session-type messages (text, image, and file) within a single session.
  • Only session-based messages are charged at the session rate. Other message types can be used but will be billed at the regular rate.
  • If the 60-message limit is reached, the session automatically ends, and a new one begins.
  • Businesses can send up to 5 consecutive messages without a user response within an active session.
