Infobip and LAQO became the first to adopt a GPT-enabled digital assistant for customer support in the European fintech

Infobip and LAQO embed a conversational customer journey for frequently asked questions and improved customer support

Vodnjan, Croatia, July 4, 2023 – Global cloud communications platform Infobip and leading digital insurance company LAQO by Croatia insurance became the first to adopt a GPT-enabled digital assistant for customer support in the European fintech industry. Available through WhatsApp, LAQO GPT will offer its clients fast, accessible, and always-on customer support, creating a conversational customer journey to improve the experience and boost satisfaction.

With a strong history of innovation, LAQO wanted to enhance its customer service and provide fast, accessible, and personalised support. In collaboration with Infobip they developed LAQO GPT, which immediately answers to frequently asked questions. The digital assistant is customizable to suit specific customer needs and can handle many customers simultaneously.

In the first phase, LAQO GPT will answer questions about LAQO products, processes, and administrative inquiries in Croatian and English – regardless of time or location, enabling the firm to provide 24/7 customer support. Subsequently, the firm will expand its range of AI-enabled customer processes. WhatsApp remains the primary digital customer communications channel for LAQO. The new WhatsApp digital assistant will help free up customer agents’ time to focus on more complex client queries and issues that require human intervention, further improving the experience. LAQO clients can still contact agents directly through the digital assistant should they need to.

LAQO GPT digital assistant is the result of combining Infobip’s cloud communications platform, Microsoft’s GTP technology and Azure services – alongside integrating WhatsApp. In addition, Bruketa&Zinic&Grey helped train the new digital assistant to provide LAQO’s tone of voice and brand personality.

Ana Zovko, Head of LAQO, said: “Following the introduction of crypto payments and the launch of the LAQO Museum in the metaverse, implementing artificial intelligence was a very logical step for us at LAQO. We have found a way to improve our clients’ customer experience even further and provide them with faster and more personalised support. As a fully digital insurance, we strive for constant availability, regardless of time or location, and GPT will allow us to be there for our clients – 24 hours a day, seven days a week. In the following stages of development, our clients will be able to talk with digital assistant about the details of customer processes, not just about the offers, just like you would do with any actual person. We thank the Infobip team, with whom we developed the project from start to finish, for their support and implementation.”

In the era of conversational everything, two-way conversations are vital across the customer journey. Whether for marketing, sales or support, customers want conversations with a business or brand on their preferred channel. At Infobip, we co-create with our partners and clients to accelerate innovation and develop new solutions that create a richer and more proactive experience. We are fully committed to the development and implementation of artificial intelligence solutions. With our advanced GenAI-enabled Conversational Experience Platform, Experiences, we developed full-blown conversational-insurance support. This has enabled a 24/7, rapid resolution personalized support experience for LAQO’s clients seeking answers to frequently asked questions, improving customer satisfaction, and driving loyalty. It is a completely new phase of customer experience based on conversations.

Roberto Kutic

COO at Infobip

Davor Bruketa, Creative Director at Bruketa&Zinic&Grey, said: “With the help of new generation generative artificial intelligence, customers can now enjoy a personalised experience similar to interacting with a human when engaging with brands. This kind of one-on-one communication with millions of people at the same time was never possible before. It’s exciting that this is one of the first examples of a brand character becoming an interlocutor in communication with users.”

Croatian Telekom, a member of the Deutsche Telekom Group and Infobip partner, was part of the solution’s technical delivery.

Infobip introduces CPaaS X, a modular API stack for platforms

Infobip helping platforms to scale exponentially with reduced engineering effort and greater operational efficiency.

Vodnjan, Croatia, June 23, 2023 – Global cloud communications platform Infobip, has introduced CPaaS X, the next generation of Communications Platform as a Service. CPaaS X is a modular set of APIs built with platforms for platforms to tackle pain points in onboarding and managing a high number of clients, expanding to new markets, and adding new channels to the platform’s offering. Infobip helps to create better customer experiences by transforming customer engagement that drives impact, scale, and revenue growth.

The new modular API stack provided by Infobip automates processes and provides flexibility, helping with onboarding, resource provisioning, reporting, and monitoring, and enables easily adding and using different communication channels. It’s a full package of enhanced tools for developers who can pick and choose the APIs they need and implement them into their applications and workflows quickly. The APIs are designed to be flexible, and come with support from the Infobip technology team, so developers can access assistance with connecting all of their crucial applications and communication resources.

Platforms are digital companies with their own proprietary software solutions which they include with their services, from martech and customer service, to fintech, ecommerce, and enterprise solution platforms. Infobip helps these platforms to quickly onboard their customers who can, in turn, easily engage with their end users. In a competitive market, where constant innovation is required, Infobip offers platforms more options and service to their customers. For example, by enriching the platform’s portfolio with more than 15 channels, Infobip also enables you to add multiple channels with a single API integration. Infobip offers extensive knowledge of privacy and local regulations as each country has different laws and regulations in place. In addition, the flexible and modular APIs are simple to implement into any system, reducing complexity for easy integration and scaling.

Named multiple times as CPaaS leader by IDC¹, Juniper Research² and Omdia³, Infobip established a strong position in the CPaaS market as full stack communications platform-as-a service with global reach. Infobip was also recognized in the 2023 Gartner® Competitive Landscape CPaaS report. According to Gartner, “the CPaaS market has advanced to include higher functionality, with vendors now both stretching into adjacent markets like CCaaS, CRM, CDP and CAI. CPaaS providers must package an offering that encompasses the customer’s total experience to capture new growth and higher margins.”

Adrian Benić, Chief Product Officer at Infobip, said: “We are the only CPaaS provider that created APIs specifically designed to automate processes across all stages of the platform’s journey with CPaaS and help platforms become truly omnichannel with minimal engineering effort. With automation and new concepts, we handle the logic and enable platforms to scale without additional operational load and allow their customers to become customer-centric no matter the region they operate in. That, on top of our global connectivity and worldwide presence makes us uniquely able to provide the best service to our platform customers. With a single unified API, adding new channels couldn’t be easier, but CPaaS X can also handle channel orchestration and all failover logic ensuring that these platforms can always reach their customers on their preferred channel.”

Infobip launches ShiftMag, a digital magazine to reach the developer community globally

From best practice advice to interviews with software engineering leaders, ShiftMag offers insight and content for developers globally

Vodnjan, Croatia, May 18, 2023 – Global cloud communications platform Infobip has launched ShiftMag, a new global digital magazine for software engineers. The online magazine, among the first for a communications platform, will help developers better understand the industry through long-form analyses, opinion pieces, industry leader interviews, and discussions on the latest tech trends.

Infobip will launch the first edition on the eve of its developer conference Shift Miami on 23 May. It will feature an interview with Kelsey Hightower, one of the key people behind the Kubernetes project, and one of the most influential voices in the tech industry over the last 20 years.

Other features include whether the cloud is the right solution for every company and analysis of technical debt as a tech and business problem. Alongside this, the magazine will interview Shift Miami speakers, offering a sneak peek into their on-stage talks. Other articles will cover managing privacy concerns with tech, whether APIs are “eating the world” and testing in production.

Editorially independent and technologically agnostic, ShiftMag will cover issues relevant to software engineers at all levels, from aspiring developers to senior leaders. Regular topics will include how to manage deadlines as an engineer; to rewrite or not rewrite legacy code; whether DevOps is dead; and what is Cloud FinOps.

ShiftMag is part of a global developer community initiative at Infobip, alongside its Shift developer conferences in Europe and the US, which attract thousands of developers and companies such as Github, Amazon, and Shopify.

“The launch of ShiftMag is a significant step forward in Infobip’s strategy to put developers front and center, having acquired Shift Conference and tech business magazine Netokracija. There are around 20 million developers worldwide, but they often do not consume content through standard communication channels. That is why we have launched ShiftMag to continue to support and build relationships with the developer community. The launch of ShiftMag further cements our developer-led approach, providing an unrivaled experience by creating best-in-class events and content alongside easy-to-use software development kits and understandable API documentation.”

Ivan Burazin

Chief Developer Experience Officer at Infobip

Deep expertise and global reach

Mia Biberović, editor-in-chief of Netokracija, the business technology magazine acquired by Infobip last year, becomes ShiftMag’s editor-in-chief. A further 11 journalists, designers, and business development specialists complete the team.

Infobip will leverage its global reach across 75 offices on six continents to ensure ShiftMag reaches the worldwide developer community.

We have significant experience in writing for a technologically savvy audience, and we are now applying that expertise globally.”

For the first time, Infobip’s Shift Conference will cross the Atlantic, getting closer to the global tech community. Native SMS integration enhances Infobip’s collaboration with Microsoft following its deployment on Microsoft Azure

Vodnjan, Croatia – May 09, 2023 – Global cloud communications platform Infobip has enhanced its collaboration with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Marketing to help businesses meet customers on their preferred channels and boost return on investment from marketing campaigns. Microsoft has integrated Infobip’s SMS channels into its marketing platform, enabling Dynamics 365 users to send and receive text messages for real-time marketing.

Customers increasingly want to communicate with businesses and brands on the channels they use every day. So, brands must deliver real-time marketing promotions and campaigns via popular channels like SMS. Infobip’s native SMS integration with Dynamics 365 now allows marketing teams in enterprises to build real-time marketing campaigns using text messages to reach and engage customers. With a global reach and local presence, Infobip is the only global cloud communications platform multinational businesses will ever need to reach customers worldwide.

With this integration, businesses can respond to customer actions in real-time, send hyper-personalized messages and connect with customers on the channels they use most. Listed first among its competitors on the Dynamics 365 platform, Infobip’s SMS integration is available worldwide now through the real-time marketing module in Dynamics 365 Marketing.

“Whether for sales, support or marketing, customers increasingly want to engage a business or brand over their preferred channels. For many, that means sending and receiving personalized text messages. That’s why we’ve enhanced our collaboration with Microsoft with our native SMS integration. In doing so, we’re helping enterprises meet their customers where they are and benefit from better customer loyalty and higher sales. I also want to reinforce all we have accomplished in concert with Microsoft where we are active players on both Microsoft Azure Marketplace and Microsoft Appsource, and as a Microsoft partner, we’ve now integrated our chatbot building platform Answers on Azure, provided WhatsApp for Business through Microsoft Bot Framework Composer and integrated SMS and WhatsApp solutions in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales. This further integration demonstrates how we are the one communication platform for every platform.”

Veselin Vuković

Vice President of Strategic Partnerships at Infobip

Jim Nakashima, Head of Product Management, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Marketing, said: “Infobip adds value to Microsoft 365 Dynamics Marketing with its omnichannel communications solutions. Now, through our SMS integration with Infobip, businesses and brands using our platform can build and deliver real-time customer experiences including marketing campaigns over SMS, helping meet their customers where they are most likely to engage.”

This news follows Gartner’s latest Communications Platform as a Service report, which noted Infobip delivers a “complete CPaaS solution, including APIs for voice, SMS, email and an impressive array of OTT channels”.

Infobip launches Conversational Everything Blueprint to help brands meet evolving customer preferences and the growing popularity of chat apps

·       Blueprint explains how businesses and brands can design end-to-end conversational customer journeys through chat apps to boost customer loyalty and sales
·       The “conversational future is now” and brands need to start talking with their customers

Vodnjan, Croatia, April 5, 2023 – Global cloud communications platform Infobip has launched a new Conversational Everything Blueprint to enable brands embed conversational experiences for customer communications. Infobip has developed the guide to help businesses stay ahead of the growing trend towards more personalized, end-to-end customer journeys from promotion to purchase and support through popular chat apps.

As customer journeys move from the physical to the digital, businesses and brands need to be able to meet their customers where they are. Infobip’s data demonstrates customers want to connect with brands on the channels they already use such as chat apps. So, to meet changing preferences, brands must now deliver rich, convenient, and personalized conversational experiences and customer journeys on the channels their customers use and prefer.

Infobip’s Conversational Everything Blueprint explains how brands can create such customer journeys using a conversational one-stop shop such as Infobip, which simplifies the process for brands. By developing meaningful conversations across the customer journey, businesses can:

Increase customer satisfaction and loyalty: through personalized and always-on customer support
Increase conversion rates: by 2.5 times compared to traditional eCommerce platforms
Create additional revenues streams: by adopting new digital channels and services
Reduce customer service costs: with automated support through chatbots and live agents
Improve cart abandonment: with automated events triggered and timely communication

The blueprint also explains how organizations can embed conversational experiences across all customer touchpoints from marketing to sales and support. By combining marketing and promotional campaigns, businesses can engage customers in real-time using two-way conversations on their favourite channels.

Businesses can also boost sales by shaping hyper-personalized end-to-end customer journeys on a single communications channel, where customers go from search to purchase in minutes. What’s more, conversational experiences can help brands provide always-on, automated support over customers’ preferred channels, with seamless agent takeover for a more personal experience.

Tonko Šarac, Director of Go To Market at Infobip, said: “The conversational future is now, and customers are looking for quick, easy, and meaningful interactions with the brands of their interest on their familiar channel. So, brands need to start interacting with their customers, whether for promotion, sales, or support on popular chat apps that became main stream. That’s why we have developed the blueprint to help organizations keep up the pace with rapidly evolving trends and ever-growing customer expectations. This means that conversational experiences between customers and brands must be richer and more personal across all phases of customer journeys. The consequences of this approach are better customer loyalty and higher sales.”

“This fast-moving transition may sound very demanding and resource intensive, especially for brands  that are relying on traditional communication channels, but with Infobip’s Conversational Experience suite, this is not the case. Leveraging on it class-leading experience in the communication industry Infobip has simplified this transition for the brands to the maximum, detecting and providing already pre-worked and templated conversational flows, of the shelf, which can be activated in a matter of days”, concluded Tonko.

Infobip partners with Hagens to help construction business reduce costs, boost sales, and increase customer loyalty in the real estate sector

Infobip’s partnership with Hagens enables HM Engenharia to digitize its business model and embed agility and personalization throughout the customer journey, improving the real estate customer experience

Vodnjan, Croatia, March 23, 2023Global cloud communications platform Infobip has partnered with digital transformation specialists Hagens to help construction company HM Engenharia to provide a better customer experience, reduce costs, and boost sales by digitizing its business model.

The partnership between Infobip and Hagens has enabled HM Engenharia to increase its customer lead conversion by 4.2 times, allowing the firm to reach its 12-month sales target in just nine months. Moreover, HM Engenharia can now better identify a prospect’s buyer persona. This has enabled the construction firm to reduce sales costs by 51% and decrease negotiation time from 36 days down to just seven.

Established more than 40 years ago, HM Engenharia has built more than 100,000 houses throughout Brazil. However, the firm wanted to embed digital transformation throughout its business to better serve its customers while enhancing performance. HM Engenharia asked Hagens to help it reposition the firm, digitize its business model and ultimately boost customer loyalty.

Hagens began by repositioning HM Engenharia from a business that designs and builds homes to an admired brand that stands by its customer’s side for home building. Next, Hagens drew on Infobip’s global cloud communications platform to improve and personalize the journey for HM Engenharia’s customers. The firm embedded omnichannel communications platforms alongside improving customer understanding and bringing a new level of automation, speed and availability to HM Engenharia’s customer service.

Through its partnership with Infobip, Hagens deployed several Infobip solutions like Answers (Infobip’s chatbot solution, alongside integrating WhatsApp), Moments (Infobip customer engagement hub) and People (the Customer Data Platform) to connect all touchpoints to unlock a complete picture of HM Engenharia’s customers and prospects and personalize their experience.

By doing this, HM Engenharia’s improved the customer journey, making it more convenient and seamless. HM Engenharia provided additional customer support services to support the homebuyers entire purchase journey, improving customer loyalty and boosting its revenue.

In addition, Hagens built HM Engenharia a new platform for its homeowners to better connect them to the services they might need, creating a community and unlocking new and additional revenue streams. The platform now has more than 30,000 users, and Hagens and HM Engenharia aim to increase this to more than 100,000 in the next four years.

“Through our partnership with Infobip, we were able to digitize HM Engenharia’s business. Now HM Engenharia’s customers and prospects can get the information they need when they need it and on the channel they prefer. Moreover, through our digital transformation, HM Engenharia can better understand its customers and prospects, provide a more convenient and personal experience, and improve business performance by reducing costs and time to sales while boosting conversions. In addition to digitizing HM Engenharia’s business model, we built a new ecosystem, encompassing the company, its homeowners, and the wider community, helping create loyalty for all. We saw this opportunity given the relationship between a home buyer and the construction company often lasts at least ten years, if not longer.”

Leo Del Castillo, partner and co-founder of Hagens

“Through our partnership with Hagens, we were able to help HM Engenharia embed agility and personalization in the customer journey and create more meaningful relationships with its customers. From enhancing and automating its customer service, to end-to-end customer journey transformation, we have the capabilities and scale to help at every stage. We provide a one-stop shop for no-code access to global omnichannel communications and digital interactions, removing the need for multiple platforms or pieces of software. That is why we are the one cloud communications platform for every platform, as this project with Hagens and HM Engenharia demonstrates.”

Vivian Jones, Vice-President of Infobip for Latin America
