Infobip builds stronger customer protection across mobile networks with new Vodafone partnership

Following partnership with Telekom Deutschland, Infobip announces collaboration with Vodafone in Germany to offer security solutions for business customers

Global cloud communications platform Infobip has announced a partnership with one of the largest mobile network operators (MNOs) in Germany Vodafone to ensure world-class mobile security for a potential 62 million smartphone users across the country. Vodafone joins Telekom Deutschland in enabling Infobip’s mobile authentication solution Mobile Identity, which will be available to enterprise customers in banking, retail and public sectors, so they can offer a secure and seamless experience to end customers.

The increase in fraud over the last two years has demonstrated the critical need for businesses to layer security. While two-factor-authentication (2FA) through email, SMS, or a push notification ensure a company can verify a person, it comes at the cost of customers having to switch channels to confirm, disrupting the customer experience.

By employing Infobip’s Mobile Identity solution, businesses will be able to easily verify customers via their mobile phone number across every stage of the journey, from account activation and onboarding to payment and app download. This all happens securely and silently in the background, without requiring the customer to enter a verification code.

The solutions available within Mobile Identity include Silent Mobile Verification, meaning customers can verify users in a smooth and unobtrusive way and SIM-Swap check, which captures real time insights to see if a mobile phone number has been swapped, protecting customers from this rising form of fraud.

“Our Mobile Identity solutions are built with brand reputation and customer experience in mind, helping businesses offer unrivalled protection seamlessly and silently in the background. By working with operators like Vodafone and Telekom Deutschland, we’re building better customer protection into the entire customer journey. Its mobile security and user experience done right.“

Offering RedEye customers in the retail, hospitality and leisure industry access to a wider range of channels to further enhance the personalised, targeted messaging they can send to foster brand loyalty

London, UK: 15 March 2022 – AI-driven marketing platform RedEye has partnered with global cloud communications provider Infobip to support and scale its multi-channel messaging offering. This partnership will offer RedEye clients greater reach and more effective delivery of automated communication campaigns across the channels available through Infobip’s CPaaS portfolio. This includes the use of transactional and promotional messaging via SMS, to attract, engage and convert customers into purchasing.

RedEye uses intelligent marketing automation and data-driven strategies to help clients across retail, insurance and leisure industries strengthen customer loyalty and grow revenue. It has chosen Infobip’s CPaaS platform, with the capacity to reach over 7 billion mobile devices and things across the globe, to expand marketing campaign outreach and opportunities for its customers. This means promotional discounts, product notifications, abandoned cart and ‘Where Is My Order?’ messages will all be available via SMS.

Our ambition is simple – to help customers deliver best-in-class, strategic messaging campaigns to their customers, across key channels. Partnering with a trusted technology provider like Infobip with such a strong global reach ensures our customers have access to the best tools and channel capabilities to communicate with customers and grow revenue.”

Paul Adshead, Chief Technology Officer, RedEye

The second phase of the partnership will see RedEye look to use Infobip’s wider SaaS solutions, including LiveChat, WhatsApp and Rich Communications Service (RCS) solutions, to enable clients to deliver fully branded, interactive messaging.

Karl Johns, Senior Sales Manager at Infobip, says: “The rapid surge of digital transformation over the last few years means customers have greater expectations for a personalised approach to communications. They expect the right message, at the right time, on their preferred channel. It’s a real pleasure working with MarTech leaders like RedEye to help elevate communications and ensure their customer’s customers have the best possible experience when engaging with them. We look forward to expanding our partnership across more conversational and rich channels in the future.”

Infobip Statement Regarding Ukraine

Director of Marketing EMEA

Zoha Tapia

Director of Marketing EMEA

We are appalled by the suffering and the humanitarian disaster in Ukraine and our hearts are with all those impacted by these horrifying events.

Since the beginning of this unfolding crisis, our multifunctional response team has monitored the situation daily to, first and foremost, help our people in the region, as well as ensure the business continues operating without disruption.

Standing with our people

At this time of devastating violence and destruction, we are witnessing bravery, solidarity, and an unbeatable desire for peaceful resolutions. All our efforts have been focused on the safety of our teammates in Ukraine, their families and their friends. In the first instance, we have supported them by assisting evacuation to and providing accommodation in Croatia, or other parts of the world, to ensure they have financial, physical, and emotional safety.

As a global company we are diverse and hold strong to our values, but respect humanity as the most important value of all. We are committed to our colleagues wherever they are, including our Russian employees, whose lives have been adversely impacted as a consequence of the recent developments.

Bippers together

Our employees worldwide have again shown their generosity, open hearts and unconditional support to our community. We thank our Bippers who are partaking daily in the humanitarian aid in the field in countries bordering Ukraine, and to those who met the families of our Ukrainian colleagues at Ukraine’s borders to evacuate them to safety. We thank all Bippers who have offered their homes as shelters and donated to the Infobip Foundation for humanitarian aid in Ukraine. Infobip will match 3:1 all employee donations to the Infobip Foundation to help alleviate this unimaginable suffering.

Suspending Business

We have restricted our business in Russia and suspended the operations with the sanctioned companies following the international sanctions and our values. We are monitoring the situation closely and will continue to adapt our business accordingly.

We support a world where everyone has the freedom to live, create and work in peace. We long for an immediate end to this war with peace again restored in Ukraine.
